Apply Today: HR Specialist

The HR Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day HR operations, including recruiting and onboarding new employees, maintaining accurate employee files, implementing training programs, and providing a friendly, customer service approach with all employees. The HR Specialist will work closely with the Chief Culture Officer to assess total rewards and maintain a positive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do at Fourth Capital

  • Administer training sessions and on-the-job training programs
  • Maintain records of employee participation in all training and development programs
  • Administer bi-annual and annual performance review programs
  • Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions
  • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
  • Prepare or update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
  • Explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
  • Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed
  • Inform job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
  • Oversee hiring process, which includes forecasting hiring needs, coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks
  • Maintain employee engagement calendar; plan and execute events and initiatives to boost culture and engagement
  • Serve as liaison between employees and our HR partner to ensure questions regarding benefits, time and attendance, and more are answered promptly

Required and/or Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field
  • 1-3 years’ work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-directed and motivated
