Apply Today: Loan Servicing Specialist

The Loan Servicing Specialist is an entry-level position that will ensure accurate and timely operations of the Bank’s loan process including but not limited to boarding executed loan document information into the core system, verifying data input in the core system for accuracy, reviewing daily reports, reconciliation of general ledgers, process loan transactions, process incoming and outgoing wires, and other tasks as described below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Board all new/renewed or modified loans in the core system:
    • Input loan document terms including loan funding in the core system accurately.
    • Board all types of consumer and commercial loans.
    • Verify and review loan information in the core system after loan boarding to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
    • Process loan maintenance requests throughout the life of the loan.
  • Reconcile and balance multiple general ledgers.
  • Review daily reports to ensure to ensure data integrity and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure customer statements and notices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner.
  • Process daily participation sold and bought loan activities.
    • Board sold and bought loans to the core system.
    • Process daily participation transactions and balance with partner bank.
    • Process incoming and outgoing wire transactions from partner banks.
  • Update daily rates in the core system.
  • Process loan payments and payoffs.
  • Assist lenders, loan assistants, auditors and management with loan or collateral questions.
  • Recognizes and adheres to compliance with all bank consumer regulations and laws including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred; and at least one year of loan processing experience and/or training preferred.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good data entry skills and knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, peers, or other business partners.

Work Environment

The work environment is an office-type setting in the corporate office.  It is a professional atmosphere and environmentally controlled.  Surveillance cameras are utilized for safety.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
